Hampstead Apartment
We gutted and re-configured the first floor of this family home (the family all gravitated to the second floor) so the bedroom, previously accessed only from the landing, now opens into a generous and light filled bathroom at the rear and a dressing room and study at the front.
We increased the hearth wall to anchor the new position of the headboard, and designed joinery flanking this on each side, to accommodate the clients wonderfully populated book collection.
We sourced the reclaimed walnut panelled doors to create a lived-in partition between the two rooms.
We wanted the bathroom to feel like an extension of the bedroom with as much personality. The muted green and pink backdrop, organic textures of the grey marble vanity top and oak parquet floor all add warmth.
