Holland Park House
Our aim was to create a layered, elegant home that felt inviting but not overly curated or too formal.
Dating from around 1820, the house carried elements from each stage of its history, presenting the challenge of bringing them into one coherent decorative scheme!
Working alongside earlier interventions by DOS Architects and the clients’ extensive contemporary art collection, our brief was to integrate the architecture, artwork and some pieces of the client’s existing furniture into a cohesive whole. We incorporated beautiful antique pieces with warmth and patina to try and ensure no single era dominated, layering in colour, texture and antique textiles to bring depth and a lived-in feel.

‘They wanted it to feel like an inviting, lived-in family home rather than a paean to the artwork,’
