LITTLE VENICE HOUSE

The clients lived in the ground and lower ground floor of a stucco fronted house for a number of years. They purchased the first floor flat and wanted to create a contemporary London home without disturbing the building’s Victorian history.

We remodelled the 2 floor apartment (working closely with Granit Architects) into a 3 storey home, linking the floors with a bespoke spiral staircase.

We partitioned the rooms on the ground and first floor with crittal steel framed windows and doors to allow the natural flow of light to flood through the stairwells.

The overall effect is a period family home with 20th century furniture, antique textiles and a glorious art collection all sitting comfortably within the context of the building.
