NOTTING HILL HOUSE
The clients lived in this Georgian home for a number of years, but struggled to use the open plan living room other than as a convenient dumping ground for children’s paraphernalia and coats.
They wanted a more elevated, grown-up space with a stronger identity.
We opened up the existing aperture between the living room and entrance and installed a crittal partition to create a light-filled, more structured division.
The antique mirror in the entrance reflects the panels of the crittal doors. This opens up and brings a sense of symmetry to the rooms.
Edward Bulmer's Cerullian Blue gave depth to the walls. Antiques, lighting and artwork combined with rich textures lent a ready lived in feel to the space.
